Capital Fund Drive: The vestry has launched a Capital Fund Drive in order to accomplish the following: (1) complete a ramp project to make the nave and parish hall accessible to those who use a wheelchair as well as easier for others who have mobility issues; (2) install a columbarium to inter the ashes of our loved ones who have gone before us; (3) add to the Building Fund for ongoing maintenance and preservation of our buildings. If you have not done so already, please turn in your Capital Fund Drive pledge cards as soon as possible. There are extras in the back of the nave and in the parish hall. If you have any questions, see the posters in the parish hall or talk to any vestry member, Jimmy Henry, or Fr. Michael.

Independence Day Eucharist: There will be a (Said) Eucharist on Saturday, July 4, at 10:00 a.m. in observance of Independence Day. We have much for which to give thanks to God on that day. And what more appropriate way is there to give thanks to God than to worship Him as a parish family on the day we celebrate the freedoms that He has graciously bestowed upon Christians in this country? If you are able, please make plans to join us.

New Date for the St. John’s Annual Rummage Sale: The annual rummage sale has been moved to Saturday, July 11. Please help by gathering your items to sell and bring them to the parish beginning the week of July 6.

Outreach Opportunity at Howard Payne: St. John’s has been invited to be represented at the Jacket Journey Church Social event on Thursday, August 20, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. During the event, we will have the opportunity to host a table for students to stop by and learn more about our parish. This is a wonderful opportunity for our parish to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the beauty of the Anglican tradition to young adults. If you are interested in being involved in this outreach ministry, please see Fr. Michael.
